How My Babys Diary (.org) works...

Step one is registration. Fill out the form on the registration page and submit. An automated e-mail will be sent to you for activation (this helps prevent abuse of the system). If you have a spam filter or greylist setup on your email it may take up to four hours to receive this email. In order for it to go faster, before you register please add *@mybabysdiary.org to your whitelist or address book.

The next step is to activate your account. Click on the activation link supplied in the e-mail you received and your account is ready to use. If you have any problem in either of the above two steps please contact us and we will help you with the process.

After your journal is activated, simply send an e-mail to your username@mybabysdiary.org (where username is the name you chose at registration) and the Time, Date, Subject and Body of your e-mail is logged to your online journal automatically. You can also attach photos (jpeg, less than 2 MB) to your email and they will be stored along with your journal entry. You can send messages as many as 10 times a day or as few as once a month, and the system will keep track of your messages in your own private electronic journal.

In order to reduce the chance of SPAM please restrict senders in your Account Settings after login. This will make sure that only infomration from those you trust is placed in your journal. While we have had no reports of this actually happening as we get more users it will most likely occur with the more common usernames.

To review your journal postings just login and chose from the list of available options. You can display all of your entries, or select certain date ranges and even edit your messages. In the near future you will be able to have options of sharing your journal with other people or even to make it public if you choose. Either way it will be private by default and you will decide to make the changes individually on your Account Settings page.
